Lioness ; Praying Woman

Hi Darlings, I almost missed doing this today but as they say ,  Passions speaks a different language.

Today we will be talking about ourselves women as spiritual beings (someone is wondering what this is about abi….pls just stay with me).

A lot of us got to where we are today by fluke not real handwork on our relationship with God – some of us got married to the right guy by grace,got the right job,met the right friends and even made the right decisions in very critical period by GRACE ! We have not really stopped awhile to listen at what God was saying or even if we could still hear him at all and mind you, this is something you don’t realize until you consciously think this through .  This is a tap for us to take our places in our homes (by this, I don’t mean wives & moms only o)

The Bible has made us to understand that we were created as a Help- Mate for the Man and what that says is that, before we came, it was apparent the Man couldn’t function exceedingly well (he could function but not exceedingly well) If that doesn’t give you a boost of Confidence then I’m lost. We are the pillars of our homes, we keep the home running in every situation- good, bad, bland!  And immediately we lose grip of this reality, we start observing some strange acts,results and even persons accessing our homes. No wonder Matt 12 : 29 ,Psalm 144 :12. It means that in our lives, our homes, career,children’s lives, we are very influential and if a temptation is going to come, it will not see the light of the day except God  allows  it !

How can we wield this influence to its maximum?

Faith : It is important we believe in God, his authority, power and his ability to do so much more than we ask. People who know me personally, will agree that I’m a planner- I plan  my Month, my next holiday, my weekend  etc.. but a couple of things have happened in the past that I believe God was just trying to say “Oya do your worst nah” or just plain “I am the God! Is there anything too hard…” and so I have gotten to realize that without Faith we can’t even start a conversation with God to know his plans for us  and also believe in those plans

Confession : Psalms 51 slays this part for me..no matter how you may have missed it, he is willing and able as long as we admit and confess. It helps to come through the blood of Jesus as nothing washes whiter. I  believe we all get bold and confident after acknowledging our sins and asking God for forgiveness. I do not think anyone is perfect as perfection only comes from God so do not beat yourself up when you miss the mark now and again. Moreover, did you ever come across that quote “ God calls the unqualifies and qualifies them” .

Adoration/Praise/Thanksgiving : Have you heard that God  dwells in the praises of his people Psalms 22 : 3  ...this means we must always be singing praises since we want his presence 24/7 . I don’t know about you but worshipping God just humbles me, it’s like a great opportunity and I do not take it lightly. It’s quite easy to get into the worship mode in church or a gathering but doing it on our own, we sometimes run out of gas and from books and testimonies,  I have learnt you can start by downloading your favourite worship songs, buying CD collections so this can be your lead when you are going solo. I don’t play with my Nicole Mullen, Donnie Mcclurkin , Frank Edwards, Women of Faith…please tell me  more. I have realized that most times, in this mode, prayers are answered, strongholds are brought down and breakthroughs happen Acts 16:  23- 26

Supplication/Intercession – There’s power in a praying woman no doubt. When you hold you home and other factors together with prayer, everything comes to its rightful place .Has your husband given you his prayer requests because he trusts your relationship with God ? Has he called you first when things started going left in a meeting, Have your siblings called you, not for money  or free ride but to put them in prayers.. I was so humbled when my friends hubby called to remind her of his prayer points on our way to a service sometimes back….remember we are pillars, take your place!!

Praying for yourself and for others isnt just for the sake of your needs but in doing that, you are actually obeying God  when he commanded “  Pray without ceasing”  1 Thess 5 : 16-18
